This week in Math we will
continue our Multiplication Unit. We will start our fluency PowerPoint and
learn new strategies for various multiplication facts. We will also create
posters of our strategies we’ve used so far with early multiplication to help
cement our understanding.

This week in Science we will continue
our human body unit. Students will have the opportunity to dissect an owl
pellet and compare the rodent bones to human bones! They are very excited
about this! Students will also play “Simon Says” to help reinforce those scientific
bone names. After wrapping up the “Bones” investigation on Tuesday, we will
begin the next investigation in our human body unit, “Joints!”

|
WOODS:
-Students
must read for 20 minutes each night & record the number of pages they
have read in the Agenda/Husky Pad. Remember, we are now having students to log
their at home reading in the very last section of the Agenda. Students should
be recording the title of the book they read and the pages they’ve read.
HORN:
Students
must complete 30 minutes of Dreambox this week at home. Additional (low
amount of problems) homework may be given if the teacher sees the need for
practice of a particular skill. Remember Dreambox records time from Sunday to
Saturday.

assess their knowledge on our early multiplication activities that we have
done over the past two weeks. I will send home homework to help prepare them
for this assessment on Monday. The assessment will be administered Tuesday. Students
